2009 R-30 versus 2007 R-20

Not wanting to in any way change or alter the classic Retro style of our R Models, the 2009 R-30 looks in appearance almost identical to the 2007 R-20. However, technically there are significant differences and improvements. Here is a look at what is new and frankly better.

* Range will vary depending on the weight of the rider/s, terrain, wind resistance and road conditions. Example: a run on a relatively flat road with few stops and a 180lb rider will get much better range than a hilly road with multiple stops, and a 280lb rider. Range is in direct proportion to consumption of energy. The slower you drive the further you will go. Stop and go with full acceleration after each stop may cut the range by as much as fifty percent. Just like cars have better mileage on the highway and less in city driving, the same happens with an electric vehicle. Its all about energy consumption.

Seattle City Light: Conservation | Frequently Asked Question...
A kilowatt-hour (kWh) is one thousand watts used for one hour. Just think if you have ten 100-watt light bulbs (ten x 100 = 1,000) burning for one hour, that is one kWh; and Seattle City Light would charge you about 7.93 cents for those 1,000 watts used during that hour.
